YouthLaw is an incorporated society, which is a membership organisation run by an elected voluntary board.
We are a registered charity and our Charities Commission number is CC10505.
Our Board is elected by our members at our Annual General Meeting. Our Board is voluntary and currently meets at our office in Manukau and online. You must be a member of YouthLaw to stand for election to our Board and another member must nominate you for the Board. Each year YouthLaw’s Members elect no less than five and no more than twelve Members to serve on our Board. The term of office of each Board Member is from the end of the Annual General Meeting at which they are appointed, until the end of the Annual General Meeting the following year. A retiring Board Member is eligible for immediate re-election. Please note only Members of YouthLaw are eligible to be nominated. The next AGM will be held late 2025. Nominations are currently closed for Board Members.
To join YouthLaw as a member, fill out our membership form YouthLaw Membership Application Form 2024. Any applications for Membership will be considered by the Board and applicants advised of the outcome.
